Production Module

Head of CineLink, the Regional Co-production Market and Project Development Workshop of the Sarajevo Film Festival; a member of producing networks ACE (Ateliers du Cinéma Européen) and EAVE (European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs); and a Member of the Film Academy; Amra Bakšić-Čamo is a continuously rising star in European film production.

Credited as producer and co-producer on a number of highly successful short films, documentaries, TV programs and critically acclaimed feature films, Amra works repeatedly with Oscar-winning director Danis Tanović, with her credits including his An Episode in the Life of an Iron Picker, which won the Jury Grand Prix and the Silver Bear for Best Actor at Berlinale, and Death in Sarajevo, last year’s Berlinale Silver Bear Winner.

Amra joins us as a guest lecturer for Week 15 Production Module (May 29 – June 2) and will share experiences and approaches in film production under vastly differing circumstances: high budget, low budget, and no budget production. Students will also be given an introduction to different film funds, methods of financing film production, as well as examine both festival strategy and film distribution.
