Month of February for the students was very exciting as Sarajevo Film Academy has welcomed and successfully completed five workshops and modules by prominent film professionals including the award-winning British director Peter Webber, Sony Pictures Classics’ Senior Executive Vice President, Acquisitions & Production, Dylan Leinner, living film and TV legend, actor Bogdan Diklić, among others.

The first month of Spring Semester for SFA students finished with Production workshop by renowned producer Cat Villiers, who has joined Sarajevo Film Academy as permanent lecturer from this academic year. Cat started with Director - Producer Relationship Masterclass held with director Peter Webber. During the particular Masterclass, they examined the questions: how do directors and producers work together, both in production and creatively; what should a director expect and need from a good producer? The Production Module was continued with sessions discussing the needs of young filmmakers to develop their stories, scripts, and to make their films.

Cat works with filmmakers from around the world. Her first feature was Milcho Manchevski's Before the Rain, winning both the Venice Film Festival's Golden Lion and an Academy Award Nomination. She has often worked with director Danis Tanović, including on his Golden Globe and Academy Award winner No Man’s Land.
